Abstract: Big data construction is related to the army strategic transformation, and matadata is the strategic, fundamental and directional issue in big data construction. We analyze the significance of metadata in the army big data construction from function, application and construction, then put forward the basic idea of metadata construction. Furthermore, we innovatively propose suggestions for matadata construction from fundamental theory, basic method and construction content in order to provide useful reference for metadata construction of the army.
