Abstract:A new boresighting method for tank armored vehicle weapon systems is proposed which calibrates the fire line and the line of sight automatically. First, the situation images of the artillery from the line of sight using image sensors are collected. Then the change of the fire line is acquired using image processing from the situation images. The calibration value between the fire line and the line of sight is calculated in the end. The high-precision calibration value is used in the solution model of fire control systems reducing the complexity of system operation and e ectively improving the shooting hit rate. In addition, the calibration value can be used to determine if the system has sight line alteration due to mechanical-electrical reasons and whether the system firing angle is loaded correctly.
