Abstract:In practice, situation and threat assessment is a very important task of operation planning, and is theoretically the primary subject in high-level information fusion. Firstly, this paper reviews the theory and logic for situation and the model for threat. These theoretical issues can serve for clarifying the meaning of situation and threat. Secondly, based on existing research, situation and threat assessment in the context of information fusion is surveyed, and the key issues in situation and threat assessment are thoroughly analyzed and discussed. Finally, using ontology as sharing knowledge representation, it elaborates the modeling and reasoning approaches for situation and threat assessment and related matters for system development.
