Abstract: Operation planning is considered as an important work by PLA recently. We in depth discuss the questions about joint operation planning(JOP) which need to be distinguished urgently. First, we define the conception of JOP and clear the position of joint operation planning system(JOPS), we also pay more attention to operation research scientifically. Second, the core of JOPS is changing quickly than planning accurately. Third, if JOPS is to change quickly, it must solve the dicult question of battlefield situation awareness artificially. Forth, the capability of operation must be evaluated totally and dynamically in an antagonism environment. Fifth, if we want to evaluate the operation planning by war gaming, the standardization and interconnection between them must be considered.
