Abstract: Aiming at satisfying the diverse target-centric warfare oriented equipment support requirements, a new concept named as adaptive equipment support command mode is proposed. Subsequently, its core essentials and main characteristics are analyzed, and its basic form is designed. Then, based on a view of complex adaptive system, the running mechanism of adaptive equipment support command, including adaptability, synchronization in situation awareness, parallel decision-making and active cooperation, is explored. The process of adaptive equipment support command, including situation awareness, design and planning, control and cooperation, and effect evaluation, is proposed. The research results can be used to give direction for constructing and deploying adaptive equipment support command system, and to improve the task adaptability of target-centric warfare oriented equipment support command.
