Abstract：Hypersonic weapons have exhibited strong penetration ability owing to their outstanding advantages of maneuverable flight at high altitude and high speed, which becomes the main reason why major military powers begin to construct hypersonic weapon defense systems. The difficulties of defense against hypersonic weapons are introduced. The development status and existing problems of foreign hypersonic weapon defense systems represented by the United States and Russia are summarized. The development trends of hypersonic weapon defense are analyzed, and the possible risks and challenges faced within the development process of hypersonic weapon defense system are pointed out.
