Abstract：The Environmental Space Situation Awareness(E-SSA) is a fundamental part of the Space Situation Awareness(SSA), which impacts the decision on space systems and space missions. The concept of the E-SSA is explained and its needed capability is summarized. Taking the data acquisition and utilization as a clue, the components of the E-SSA are analyzed based on the Dynamic Data Driven Application System (DDDAS) concept. Some E-SSA system construction related problems are discussed finally.
