Abstract: F-pole and A-pole are two of six typical attack ranges that embody tactical and technical indicators of airborne air-to-air missile fire control system. The concept of F/A-pole in single-plane launch and cooperative launch is introduced, the processes of single-plane launch and cooperative launch are compared, and the factors affecting the size of F/A-pole are analyzed. Although processes of single-plane launch and cooperative launch are different, the F/A-pole definitions of them are the same, and single-plane launch and cooperative launch are related to each other to some extent, when certain conditions are met, single-plane launch can evolve to cooperative launch and can obtain the same F/A-pole as cooperative launch; in addition, many factors affecting the size of F/A-pole may have different effects in the form of single-plane launch and cooperative launch.
