Abstract:Decision-centric warfare (DCW)is becoming one of the core concepts in the transformation based on complexity science of the US military. In order to study the complexity brought about by DCW, the subjective motivation and objective conditions of the DCW concept are explored; the relationship between DCW and several kinds of related concepts is discriminated; its complexity characteristics is studied from three perspectives: complex adaptive system, complex network, and combination of kill chains; and the main factors affecting the effects of DCW are analyzed from a complexity management and imposition perspective.
