Abstract:The problems of planning and scheduling encompass the process of optimal allocation of resources and tasks within a specific period. Artificial intelligence technology has made significant progess in this field. Large language models, as the representatives of generative artificial intelligence, exhibit formidable capabilities in the field of planning and scheduling. This study divides planning and scheduling into four key phases: user requirement analysis, solution generation, scenario modeling, and optimization algorithm design. It delves into the application of large language model technology at each phase and envisions a comprehensive solution framework built upon contemporary large language model techniques, elucidating how these technologies and frameworks can play a role across the various phases. These technologies have potential development space in solving more larger, complex problems, the research trend based on the
large language models is prospected.
