Abstract:
To study the mechanism of battle management in the process of time-sensitive target strikes, this paper starts with the analysis of the Russian army’s theory and method of constructing the kill chain based on the“Reconnaissance-Attack Complex”, and combines the actual combat case of the Russian army’s Iskander missile striking the Ukrainian army’s HIMARS rocket launcher. It analyzes the composition and performance of the kill chain for the Iskander missile to strike time-sensitive targets, and summarizes the main practices of its battle management, namely, solving the problem of confirming the optimal strike window through continuous surveillance, multi-means integration, and opportunistic strikes; identifying false targets through close-range reconnaissance, multi-mechanism confirmation, and post-launch strikes; and solving the problem of rapid closure of the kill chain through mission-based command, presetting of firing data, and ambush warfare tactics.
