Abstract: The component systems of System of Systems (SoS) may cause overall performance degradation or even collapse after being disturbed, so building a survivable military combat SoS is of great significance to the national defense. This paper uses Multi-Attribute Tradespace Exploration (MATE) method to analyze the survivability of SoS. According to the three characteristics of SoS survivability, a comprehensive evaluation index is proposed; according to the survival criterions, the traditional MATE is improved. At last, this paper shows how to analyze the survivability of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) based on MATE.
